ABOUT US

Our Vision

The mission of Taste of Talent Christian Talent Competition, is to provide a platform for believers in the body of Christ to glorify Jesus Christ through song, dance, spoken word, rap and other godly artistic forms of worship expression. Through the God-given vision of Taste of Talent, we put on display, the miraculous, dynamic workmanship of God as he uses His divine creation to showcase His glory through the talents He has given them. It is the purpose of this competition to not only create a true worship experience, but to share the testimonies of our contestants with the world. This is the vehicle through which we bring people to Jesus Christ!

History

Divinely Inspired Resources Music & Morsels

Divinely Inspired Resources is a Multifaceted organization that offers options and opportunities for the community in their areas of gifting.

DIR Music & Morsels was a platform that beautifully fused the "dinner and show" experience with worship, bringing together Christian singers, dancers, and musicians to perform while audiences enjoyed rich, tapes style foods. With the initial emphasis on raising funds for our developing nonprofit for women, it was always Divinely Inspired's desire to serve as a "facilitator of open doors" by offering various programs, platforms and events that serve to connect people and provide access to resources that allows them to use their God-given gifts.

Through DIR Music & Morsels, Taste Of Talent Christian Talent Competition was born in 2024 and stands at the forefront of change in Christian performing arts and creativity. Divinely Inspired Resources holds fast to its mission of facilitating open doors and Taste Of Talent, alongside other programs, has continued to thrive under the organizational headship  of DIR.

OUR FOUNDER

Stephanie Rackard

Since her youth, Stephanie Rackard cultivated a love for performing and worship arts. With her first professional theater play experience being the production of “Your Arms Are Too Short to Box With God,” in Detroit, Michigan, everything concerning performing arts caught her attention! Having been raised in a family where faith was a requirement and not an option, she was part of her church youth choir where she cultivated her love for singing. As a child, Ms. Rackard also sang with the Glee Club at McCullough Elementary School that was renowned for its choir and, under the leadership of Jack Folson, that at its height performed in the 4,000 seat Henry Ford auditorium in Detroit, sang on morning news shows and produced an album that sold copies to build schools in Africa.  As she grew into adulthood, Ms. Rackard encountered several life changes that began to shape her understanding of Jesus Christ in her life.  During her formative and adolescent years, she experienced several familial losses including her father due to diabetic complications and both of her sisters - one who was murdered and the other due to alcoholism.  With the passing of her grandfather, the family - which included her mother, now a widow, and three young children - including Stephanie and her two older brothers - relocated to South Georgia, where she graduated high school, and subsequently attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a bachelors degree in journalism. Post her undergraduate studies, she worked in communications and marketing and served as a writer and producer for Georgia Showcase Gospel Television Production that aired locally and met many established artists such as Dottie Peeples, The Christianaires, and Bobby Jones.  Ms. Rackard also coordinated Campus diversity-wide events for the University of Georgia that included the popular annual MLK Gospel Fest that featured many well known local community groups and artists.  Her love for gospel music thrived during this time as she became part of the Athens Voices of Truth Community Choir, under the direction of James R. Smith, that even today remains a staple in Athens and surrounding counties, representing the steadfastness of God in the lives of His children.

As she matured, Ms. Rackard’s relationship with Christ further deepened and led to her subsequent marriage to her husband - a pastor - through which they were blessed with a daughter, Neila Rose. During this time she sang with the New Birth Missionary church choir where she co-wrote original songs that were produced on their title CD entitled “He Will Bring You Out,” for which she is the soloist.

Despite relocating to Arkansas in 2006, and divorcing in 2007, she earned her Masters Degree in Human Resources Management.  While raising her daughter and working as a Director of Human Resources with a Fortune 100 company, Stephanie continued to serve in ministry as the Director of Communications at her church in Fayetteville, Arkansas and subsequently co-founded a nonprofit Food program that at its height served 1600 hot meals a day to kids in the community at 31 locations.  She also continued to produce worship initiatives that glorified God and in 2014, she was a partner in coordinating a concert featuring Wess Morgan, along with other prominent artists in Springdale, Arkansas. Post returning to Georgia after working afar for more than a decade in her professional capacity, and through instruction from her Pastor and inspiration by the Holy Spirit, she  founded her multi-faceted businesses in 2018 under the name of Divinely Inspired Resources that reflects her passion in HR Consulting, a nonprofit for women, and Catering, Event & Conference planning.  In 2023, Ms. Rackard founded Taste of Talent LLC and Christian Talent Competition (TOT), one of many forthcoming God-given endeavors under the TOT umbrella, that provides a platform for believers in the body of Christ to glorify God through their gifts in song, praise dance, Christian rap, spoken word and other artistic forms of worship.

Firmly believing that “through Christ all things are possible," Ms. Rackard navigates through the facets of her work,
life and her faith. While continuing to build and oversee her businesses, she currently serves as Director of Human Resources for an international consulting and services organization, and is an intercessor and a Minister in her church - Divine Visitation International Church and Ministries in Conyers, GA.
